Candy Corn Jello Shots Ingredients:
- Orange Jello
- Unflavored Gelatin
- Sweetened Condensed Milk
- Water
- Vanilla Vodka
- Yellow Food Coloring
How to Make Candy Corn Jello Shots:
Pour 1 cup of water into a small saucepan and pour 2 packets of unflavored gelatin into the water. Warm the water and gelatin over a low heat, stirring occasionally, until all the gelatin has dissolved (about 5 minutes).
Remove pan from the heat and add 1/2 your can of condensed milk to the mixture. Stir until the ingredients combine.
Add 2/3 cup of vanilla vodka. Cover and set aside half of your milk mixture. You will need to use it for the last layer.
Evenly distribute the first half of your mixture into 20 disposable shot glasses, filling them about 1/3 full. Refrigerate until firm (30-40 minutes).
How Long Does It Take for the Layers to Set?
Each layer will take around 30-40 minutes to set. Be sure to wait until each one is fully set before adding the next. Then, allow the finished Jello shots to chill for two hours.
When the first layer is firm, pour 1 cup of water into your saucepan and add another packet of gelatin to make your middle layer.
Warm the water until the gelatin dissolves, remove from the heat, and stir in the box of orange Jello until it dissolves. Then, add 1/3 cup vanilla vodka.
Evenly distribute the orange layer on top of white layer and refrigerate until chilled.
When your orange layer is solid, retrieve the second half of the milk mixture (that you set aside) and add in a few drops of yellow food coloring.
Distribute your yellow layer on top of the orange layer and put it back into the fridge until it sets.
Whoa!! These guys are looking authentic! Once all your layers are set, you are ready to serve your candy corn creations.
These candy corn Jello shots are sure to be a hit at your next Halloween or fall party. You can even serve them on a spooky black tray with Halloween cupcakes. Cheers!

These came out well. However, they are very firm. It’s more like a gummy treat than a jello shot. If I do this again, I will forego the second gelatin packet (and the one added to the orange).
I followed the instructions exactly. In the first direction I added the milk. It said to keep the milk for the last step. The final (third layer) step doesn’t say a thing about adding milk??????
I read the instructions at least 7 times. Am I mistaken???
Kathy
You set aside 1/2 of the milk MIXTURE from the first step. This recipe only calls for 1/2 of the can of condensed milk to be used. In other words, you’ve already added the milk for the 3rd layer when preparing the 1st one.
The recipe says it will fit in about 20 shot glasses, but it doesn’t mention the size. What size shot glasses?
Hi Jason. The standard size for shot glasses is 1.5 ounces. We used plastic disposable shot glasses here in that standard size.
Amazing
The cutest! Can’t wait to make these for our Halloween party
Great hit for our Halloween party!!
Sorry I figured it out. Thanks.
is the yellow just jello. No vodka?
It already has vodka in it from the first step since it is half the mixture you set aside.
These are SO good.
Saw this recipe Friday night, an ran to the store for ingredients. These were a hit! Easy to make and everyone loved them.
Will definitely have these again next year!!
Just wondering if any kind of alcohol would work for these?
Yes, you could use a number of different spirits.
omg ,these are so adorable! I don’t like candy corn at all, but I LOVE how it looks, so I always am tempted by things like this around October.

Super cute!!
Hi Laura, They look amazing. I will try. thanks
These were a huge hit for Halloween… So yummy! We handed them out to parents. Some of them came back twice! 🙂 I’m making them for a Christmas party tonight with strawberry jello and coloring the top layer green. Thanks for the great recipe!
Just so I’m clear, for the orange layer you’re doing one packet unflavored gelatin AND the 3oz box of orange jell-o?
These turned out great! One suggestion, I made the orange jello after I put the first layer in the fridge to cool. That gave the orange jello time to cool down before I added it to the shot glasses.. The first time I did it, I added it right away and it melted into the first layer
Absolutely delicious! And what a beautiful and colorful drink. I gave it a try and thought I had to impress a few neighbors with the delicious treat. They could not get enough of it, and it was easily the center of attention, everyone wanted to give it a try. Great work, keep them coming!
Gorgeous pictures. I made these candy corn jello shots for the super bowl party and it was a crowd favorite. I’m also gonna pin this post on my Pinterest board my followers will love it. Thanks for sharing, Laura!
