Besides having clean and styled hair, great lashes is probably the next thing on my beauty list that helps me feel my best.
I’ve been a big fan of false lashes since my early 20s (which was like five years ago, right?!? How kind of you …).
I’ve done lots of variations to get a good lash look from simple false lashes, to lash extensions, to using Lashify lashes, to lash serums.
While I like the look of false lashes (especially for special occasions or photos), it’s not something I always felt like messing with every day. So doing a lash serum seemed like a good way to go to get “all the time” lashes.
I’ll show you what happened when I tried GrandeLASH-MD Serum and how well I thought it worked!
Related: What Happened When I Tried Lashify Lashes
Granted, I am wearing mascara in the “after” photo above (check out the photo below for a comparison without mascara), but you can see that my lashes are quite more noticeable than they are in the “before” and I am thrilled with the results!!
Even though it’s been about six months of use, I still am shocked at times how amazing they appear when I look in the mirror!
Here’s a photo without mascara on as well … I feel like mine tend to get a lot longer rather than also being a ton thicker (which I will take!), but a lot of people report much thicker lashes in general, too.
How Often Do I Have to Apply GrandeLASH-MD?
- You use the serum once a day. Just one dip does both eyes and you apply it like you would liquid eyeliner at the base of your lashes.
- You’ll want to apply it on the skin next to your lashes rather than on the lashes themselves. Give it two minutes or so to dry though before applying makeup or laying down.
How Long Does it Take to Work?
- It takes about four-to-six weeks to notice a difference, so if you’ve tried serums before but didn’t stick with it long, you may have quit before it started working.
- It takes about three months before you really see a full transformation, but it’s worth the wait!
How Do You Get the Most out of your “New” Lashes?
- To really make your longer lashes stand out, take advantage of an eyelash curler (especially for stick straight lashes like mine) to really show off your new length!
Is There a Mascara That’s Best to Use with GrandeLASH?
- GrandeLASH-MD does sell their own mascara with peptides, panthenols, and natural waxes to condition your lashes, but you can use whatever mascara you like!
- This mascara is our team favorite here at A Beautiful Mess. It’s a clean, non-toxic mascara and we all love it!!
Can I Use GrandeLASH if I Wear Contacts or Have Lash Extensions?
- Yes, you can! I do the serum in place of lash extensions, but if you are wanting a better set of lashes to start your extension on or are just doing them for a bit and don’t want to regress your lash serum progress, you can do both.
What Happens if I Stop Using it?
- Well, your lashes will just go back to the way they were before you started!
Can I Use GrandeLASH on my Eyebrows for Thicker Brows?
Most lash serums say they can also be used on brows as well, but GrandeLASH-MD doesn’t say that, and they also have a brow serum specifically for brows.
Like any product (especially products around the eyes), don’t use this if you have an allergic reaction, and discontinue if you experience a negative reaction.
In all honesty, I did have occasional itching at the baseline of my lids when I first started, but it wasn’t causing puffiness or redness so I just waited a bit to see if it went away and it did.
I don’t have crazy sensitive eyes, but I would say they are more on the sensitive side.
Overall, I’m thrilled with the results of using the lash serum and since I’ve grown them in I haven’t reached for the false lashes even once. So if you’re looking for longer, thicker lashes all the time, maybe give it a try and see if you love it too! xo. Laura
I started using this product and their brow serum in January based on your thorough review- and I’m seeing great results!! Yay!
I lost A LOT of my eyelashes due to a bad experience at a lash salon, a year later I found Dermalmd eyelash Serum on google and I gave to try this serum and three bottle of Dermalmd Lash Serum, my lashes grew back completely and continue to be long and healthy. this is a FABULOUS PRODUCT and I highly recommend.
Hi!
This product looks great but is there any way we could see an after picture without mascara so that it can be directly compared please?
Thank you!
Hi Hannah! There is one in the post, it’s the second photo down 🙂
Laura
I have used Grande Lash for years and love it! my eyes are sensitive and I can’t comfortably wear fake eyelashes. I considered getting lash extensions but I know that if they itch at all I might end up pulling them, and my eyelashes, out. This stuff took my eyelashes from VERY SHORT after having my baby (my eyelashes fell out in clumps while pregnant then stayed short enough that you could hardly notice when I used mascara) to long again. I recommend it to anyone who is interested!
Putting mascara on for the “after” photo is so misleading.
Hi Kim!
It’s not my intention to be misleading, that’s why I made sure to point out that I was wearing mascara 🙂

Hey Laura, I know its a little late to bring this up, but I was reading an article from late November (this year) where you said Lola was a toddler. I was confused as to why you were saying that, since she was born in may 2017, making her 4 1/2. Can you please explain why you said that? Thanks 🙂
Hi Jane! I’m not sure which article that was? I have seen some toddler lists include age 4 so I may have said it this year or it may have been a republish of an older post?

A word of warning re: eyelash serums. I haven’t tried using this particular lash serum, but I did use one with excellent reviews on Sephora. It definitely worked, but unfortunately it has discolored my eyelids. I noticed a slight stinging sensation whenever I used the serum, but didn’t initially realise there was a problem because my eyelids did not get puffy or anything. I stopped using it once I noticed the discoloration (which wasn’t obvious until I’d been using the product for a month), but my eyelids remain discolored six months later, so I assume the effect is permanent. Anyway, I just wanted to reiterate Laura’s point that there are potential side effects to these products, so use with care and take any kind of tingly response seriously, especially if you have sensitive skin.
Hey Laura,
Thank you for sharing this. It sounds like an AMAZING product, and I have a couple questions regarding it.
1. Is it safe to use for people younger than 18? I am one of the younger viewers on here and will be 15 in about a month, so I am wondering if it is safe to use for people around my age.
2. Is it available in person at stores like Target or Walgreens, or just online?
Thanks again and Happy holidays,
Jane xo
It is NOT safe for people under 18, per the GrandeLash website. All of these lash enhancers contain synthetic prostaglandins, which is really something to think about carefully before use. They disrupt meibomian oil production due to inflammation, cause iris darkening and should NOT be used by pregnant, trying to conceive or lactating women. They can also cause fat loss and sunken eyes. All of this is irreversible. Please be safe, ladies!
Ok…………….. don’t shame people for using it, just a thought
I’m sorry you think I was shaming anyone. My sister has had untreatable side effects from lash serum and people need to know the risks. You have a nice day.
How was she shaming anyone, Jane? She was making people aware of the possible consequences of using this product. I think most people would appreciate knowing information like that before trying something new.
She wasn’t, I didn’t think it all the way through, and I apologize. Now can we drop it? Thanks 🙂
I Have black brown hair (natural) and have always had short blonde lashes and nearly no eyebrows my entire life. I had a hair stylist once tell me I looked like a cancer patient. Ouch! Have been wanting to try a product like this but haven’t seen someone post results that seemed believable before. Your’s look amazing! Might be my 2022 splurge
Oh yay, glad to hear this feedback! I just started using GrandeLash MD and the Ilia mascara, after reading all of the ABM team rave about it. I am LOVING the mascara, and hope to have similar results with the serum 🙂
That mascara is amazing! So glad you like it!
Laura
These results are amazing! Does it change the color of your lashes at all? I have blond ones that are invisible without mascara.
Also, the Sephora links aren’t working but maybe it’s just me? Thank you!
I don’t think it’s intended to change the color of your lashes (mine may have darkened a tinge but not sure) but you may want to look into a lash tinting if darker is what you’re looking for!
