If you are looking for a really quick and easy breakfast that can feed a larger group, you should try this biscuits and gravy casserole recipe.
This casserole requires just six ingredients and about 45 minutes to make from start to finish. You can also make most of the recipe the night before and then bake the morning you plan to serve this.

The ingredients for this cheesy biscuits and gravy casserole are:
- Canned Biscuits – I like Grands classic buttermilk, but any canned biscuits will work well.
- Breakfast Sausage – I use veggie sausage crumbles, but you could also use pork or turkey sausage.
- Eggs + Milk – for that scrambled egg effect.
- Cheese – shredded cheddar is my favorite, but other cheeses like pepper jack could work too.
- Country Gravy – I use canned gravy, but you could use a mix or make your own from scratch if you prefer.
Can you make biscuits and gravy casserole the night before?
Yes. Simply make the recipe up to the point where you pour on gravy. Cover the whole dish in aluminum foil or plastic wrap and store it (and the gravy, separately) in the refrigerator overnight.
In the morning, all you need to do is pour the gravy over the top and bake.
How long do you bake biscuits and gravy casserole?
For this recipe, you bake for 30-35 minutes at 350°F

I made this recently and it was so good. I’m making it for an upcoming brunch and looking forward to sharing this link/recipe with everyone.
Didn’t know what to expect from this casserole, but so yummy! Reheated leftovers in the air fryer during the week and reheated nicely. We used packet gravy and it worked just fine.
This was such a fun idea, to combine biscuits and gravy + egg casserole! Delicious!
Can’t wait to make this for friends at the lake this weekend! Have heard Emma talk it up- I know it’ll live up to the hype! 😆😁
Made this for our Easter brunch and it was great! I used pork sausage and the country gravy packets. A rich and hearty dish with all the breakfast flavors! Thank you for the recipe!
I made this with homemade sourdough biscuits. It was gone within 15mins. Thanks for a great easy dish.
Made this for breakfast last week and it came out pretty good. I think I would double the gravy though as I like a lot of sauce on my food. I omitted the sausage crumbles since I didn’t have any and I dont think I will do that again. Leaves too much egg without. Will definetly make again.
If you can get the Bacon sausage combo at the store it makes everything taste better. This recipe is great for breakfast leftovers for my mornings, fast and easy. I have to get up early and I have to start early so this makes things faster! Adding bell peppers (of any kind) and mushrooms and onion can make it more filling.
My all time favorite breakfast food!
Had to mention, I totally charmed my father-in-law with this recipe 🙂
I love this recipe. Even though I am not a real fan of everything in it….. But I know several people, family and friends, who would enjoy the heck out it either way. Sometimes I cook for me and most of the time I am cooking for someone else. I cook with them in mind. If a person doesn’t it pork I would not make them a bacon (pig bacon), lettuce and tomato sandwich, no matter how much I enjoyed it. So making a un-wanted comment on how eating pig bacon is so much better than a turkey bacon is unnecessary. If you like it one particular way GREAT. My mother would have loved this dish, but…….me, I don’t like biscuits…. And I will be making this casserole.
Just copy the recipe going to try today sounds very good thanks for the recipe
Canned gravy and canned biscuits? I am going to have to pass. I can make from scratch in less time and no artificial preservatives and I guarantee it will taste better
Good for you but some of us don’t make things from scratch. You can make it however you want you don’t need to be rude!
I agree. No need to comment in such a pathetically rude way. Don’t like the recipe scroll on by. Geez!!!!!
I don’t think DT was being rude. I’ve tried both ways. I made this just this morning and DT is right making it from scratch is a lot better. Can biscuits and can sausage have a different taste. I think Susan and you both took it the wrong way and even your comments were rude. You have to look at both sides and if you can’t make things from scratch now would be a good time to learn. It’s easy to learn it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to make it from scratch. It seems like every board I go to someone gets butt hurt for the wrong reasons. Learn to take criticism with a grain of salt. But for me I like the made from scratch better. Making things from scratch just taste better. When you post recipes you have to take into consideration some comments want be what you want to hear. If you can’t take criticism then don’t post your recipes plain and simple.
Go for it. I bet it will turn out great.
If you go to the link for the her gravy, it shows you where she makes home made biscuits and homemade mushroom gravy. Don’t stick your nose in the air until you see that she was doing this for people who don’t really cook. That old saying holds true, “If you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything at all!”
Biscuits and gravy for breakfast on Saturday. Thanks
I’m so excited to try this recipe I love biscuits and gravy 😌
Emma, you’re a genius. This is an amazing recipe idea and I can’t wait to make it.
Enjoy!
