The Oatmeal Cookie Shot is one of my top favorite dessert shot recipes that I have served at parties through the years. It’s fun, easy to make and tastes just like an oatmeal cookie (or maybe even better?). I highly recommend this recipe if you are looking for an easy to drink dessert shot for your next occasion.
This shot is deceptively sweet and delicious, so much so that you might not even notice the taste of alcohol. As always- please be sure to always drink responsibly!

Ingredients in an Oatmeal Cookie Shot
- Butterscotch Schnapps For that buttery taste that makes a perfect cookie shot.
- Bailey’s Irish Cream Liqueur Use the original flavor for this recipe.
- Cinnamon Schnapps I used one called “Hot Damn!”. This ingredient makes it taste like a spiced cookie. You can also sub in Fireball.
Directions
Gather all the needed ingredients. Butterscotch Schnapps, Bailey’s Irish Cream Liqueur and Cinnamon Schnapps. You will also need a shaker with ice and shot glasses. This recipe is for one shot, so double (or more) as needed.
In a cocktail shaker, combine the three liqueurs along with ice cubes and shake for fifteen seconds.
Pour into shot glasses and serve immediately
note: Bailey’s needs to be refrigerated after opening.
Tips for Making
- If you want a shorter ingredients list I have made this recipe using only Bailey’s and Butterscotch Schnapps. I like the addition of the cinnamon, but it’s not completely necessary. You can make a good shot with equal parts of just the two liqueurs.
- Some recipes recommend an optional splash of Jägermeister, so feel free to add that if you have it on hand.
- If you don’t own a cocktail shaker, you can use a mason jar instead.
A few of my favorite shot glasses: Here’s the exact fancy shot glasses I used for this recipe, I also love this beautiful set and this basic set. If you need a cocktail shaker my favorite is this cocktail shaker.

i made this from your recipe last year for a weekend trip to the mountains and we loved it ! i brought it up in a big mason jar and we had so much fun taking shots or adding it to coffee in the morning 🙂 about to gear up for an annual trip again so i’m back to brush up because it was highly requested to bring again ! thank you !
Made this for a cookie exchange. They were super delicious. Only thing to note – flavors settle and it tastes very different if you pre-make and batch. Def better making fresh.
